Mini-CV

Born in Pärnu, Estonia. Completed Pärnu Sütevaka School of Humanities at 2001. Went to study computer science at the University of Tartu. Got my BSc in 2005 and MSc in 2007. I graduated from the PhD programme in 2013.


I work in Cybernetica AS as a research project lead. I am leading the development of the Sharemind privacy-enhancing technology and its applications.


I also participate in international standardization on information security, teach programming and discuss privacy policy every now and then.


My other noteworthy achievements include the once-locally-popular online game DarkSide Tetris: The Second Block and the Qure Data Management System developed at Quretec.


My main hobbies are related to games. I have played various ball games, created computer games, helped organise lanparties in Estonia and performed tournament organiser duties for Magic: The Gathering tournaments.
